Opdracht
Electric vehicles are certainly a technology of our days and no more a future technology. The infrastructure for robust, fast, and effective charging of EVs while supporting the electricity grid is still under development. Together with Alliander, Control System Research Group has developed a prototype of a smart EV charging system which takes availability of energy and network constraints for controlling the charging of EVs. Two prototypes of a smart EV charging system have been developed together with Alliander and are currently being tested in a pilot project in Lelystad. It is the goal that the two ‘old’ charging posts (previously in front of Engineering building) be transformed with the developed smart EV charging system and connected to the SOPRA system and be used for research and education purposes.
Main tasks:
- Developing of web interfaces, Android, and IOS (Apps) which 2 different security layer:
- Monitoring layer (for the users and admin ): display the charging power, time in real time and allow users to enter some basic information.
- Control layer (administrator only): the admin can design and change the control scenario for testing purposes.
- Storage all the measurements and setting changed on the database.
